First of all, I think it is a tragic accident. I know Jim feels bad and it is sad that someone died.
My heart goes out to the family of the man killed, the men he was with in the accident and to Jim Boeheim as well, who will have this on his conscience forever although it was not an at-fault situation.
However, how dare some you take a situation as sad as this and turn it into a discussion about Caitlyn Jenner, make jokes about immigration, cast aspersions at Boeheim, or make judgments about your conjectured spin on his driving.
1. Caitlyn Jenner was not in this accident. Whatever was determined then (or not) is appropriate in another discussion. Whether or not you agree with what happened with Jenner is a non sequitur here to the point of being crass.
2. Immigration jokes are way out of place in this regard. No...you're not funny. No, not in the slightest. If you can honestly override your filter to actually print that? Then you lack any scruples at all.
3. Jim Boeheim was a driver on 690 at the time the man was hit. I say it this way because it could have been any driver who hit that man. We know about it because it is Boeheim. What happened in this accident has nothing to do with him as a coach, Syracuse University, the Orange, recruiting, graduation rates, program quality, or any statement of anything relating to the NCAA.
4. The law authorities at hand have made it clear that it was a "true accident" and, in kind, will likely not be charging Boeheim. Based on the information at hand, they are making what they feel is the correct decision.
Let's start showing respect to the man who lost his life, all involved in the accident, Let's Run, and to ourselves.
It's really about time.
If you really want to post something distasteful about this situation, think 3 more times...and decide to stop it.
Sincerely
Mike
