So last summer I started getting this pain on the inside of my right calf/shin (sort of where the shin bone goes away and theres muscle but if you push in you feel bone) . I went to a "sports medicene" doctor and he told me that I had a stress reaction. I took a week off and it went away... Later that summer I ran with two doctors one who is a marathon winner and a top rated orthopedic surgeon... Anyway they told me that it was ridiculous that I was diagnosed with a stress reaction through just an xray.. Did not reccomend I get a bone scan and even told me that he probably would not have stopped me from running.
This summer same crap is happening again. I feel it during the day sometimes like if im walking on hard surfaces or something.. I feel it during runs sometimes it comes and goes and is never real pain its just sort of there like a deep but very mild pain. I took 3 days off last week because of my allergies killed me and it was worse (i didnt stretch for 3 days and im a inflexible bastard) I really dont want to take a whole week off. Has anyone experinced something like this before?
