Tara Davis went on a crusade to get Petros FIRED because he tweeted "Good luck at Texas" before Tara announced herself she was going to Texas. She had her social media followers contact Georgia administrators to get Petros fired. They harassed Petros online. It was totally classless.
It seems rather juvenile. I get her being mad that he took it on himself to make the announcement before she was ready to but her reaction very much seems like that of someone young. Is all of this the reason why Petros wouldn't allow her to compete right away when she transferred to Texas? That also seems rather juvenile and petty.
It wasn't even up to Petros if she got to compete right away. It was based on athletic department policy set by the athletic director and the compliance office. Her transfer was handled the same way as every football transfer, soccer, baseball, volleyball, etc.
Blaming her reaction on her youth is nonsense. She tried to get him fired for a good luck message. He has a family to support, a mortgage to pay, kids to feed. She asked her tens of thousands of social media followers to attack him (not physically, but online) and try to get him to lose his job. That's not immaturity, that's EVIL. Unforgivable.
