It's evident many of us, including me, were wrong about speed/pace work. Whenever Nate Brannen stated in his running log of running anything remotely fast, we'd bash the coach for too much speedwork too early. People even stated it best to wait well into the spring for anything fast, as if logging 5:30 miles for most of the year would fully prepare someone to run 3:55 or 1:46.
Lannana and Warhurst obviously know what's going on. Both are not wrong. Even Kevin Sullivan on here once stated base is not just made up of only distance runs, but includes workouts, and he's had a long, quality career.
