I can't find a single result from him other than a 28 minute 10k at altitude. Must be an obvious drug cheat. Hopefully he was tested.
Also I don't know if he is American born seeing as he had a WCAP jersey on. Much less of an American even though he presumably passed a citizenship test most people here couldn't pass without studying for. And now I don't know how good of a run that was because he wasn't born here. Where is Jonathan Gault at to sort this out for us??

This is funny if you have an infantile, bullying sense of humor, and I usually have a very wide sense of humor. This isn't the first thread thejeff has started regarding his odd obsession with the LGBT+ community.
Making fun of people in power is essential to satire and can actually be funny.
Why, when the post makes fun of Nike, racists, and trans people, do you only choose to reflect on the part that offends you? What does that say about you and others that think the way that you do?

Just tell me what you really think rather than some lame attempt to squeeze a response out of me.

Well, the appearance is obvious: you are choosing to address the things that hurt your feelings while ignoring the parts that you might actually agree with. It appears to be self destructive behavior, which could stem from any number of things: from an abusive childhood to simply feeling overwhelmed at work.
However, I don't necessarily believe any of that, which is why I am giving you the chance to explain your feelings on the matter. Frankly, I don't see the need for you to feel defensive or appear combative.
So, again: Why, when the post makes fun of Nike, racists, and trans people, do you only choose to reflect on the part that offends you? What does that say about you and others that think the way that you do?
In my opinion this should not be allowed. Bill has gone through American Pronghorn Antelope puberty and thus has a very different skeletal and muscular structure compared to a man. Before just allowing Bill to compete as a male human, there should be some tests done to determine if he has an unfair advantage. I think that may be the case because 46:17 seems a little too fast.

Nailed it.
Lol. I'm flattered that you think so much about me.
My feeling are not hurt, I just think having fun at the expense of historically persecuted groups is crap humor. It's inconsiderate.
Also, Nike isn't the only shoe company making performance enhancing shoes.
I don't know if you are being intentionally obtuse or not. Whether or not you agree with him (or me previously), I think the "why" is pretty clear.
As he said, "Poking fun at a historically persecuted group is just a crappy attempt at humor that thinly veils someone's prejudice. "
For me, it isn't about if I think something is funny or not. It is about recognizing that a certain group of people (or individual) who have no power and who have faced a lot of hate, hostility, or relentless teasing might be bothered by it. Nike doesn't fall into this category. Racists don't fall into this category. Trans people do. So why pile on? Is telling that joke THAT important to you?
Like I said before, it is just trying to be more considerate to people who already deal with a lot of sh;t. What exactly is there to "reflect on" about making fun of Nike and racists?

lol the idea that people who self-identify as a gender other than their biological sex don't have a choice. The are, quite literally, exercising a choice.
We could get into a lengthy discussion about nature vs nurture concerning Billy Joe Granddragon and whether or not he had a "choice" to be racist.

Well, I largely disagree with you about the choice part, but even if it is 100% choice, so what? Are you one of those "they DESERVE to get made fun of" people? And comparing it to racism? Come on.
It doesn't seem like we're gonna find any common ground here. I guess I'd just ask you to think about why you feel making people feel sh;ttier is worth a joke.

Yeah but haven't you hear VO2 is meaningless?
It's meaningless until it gets maxed out and then it becomes important
Nobody deserves anything. Not a minimum wage, not health insurance, not being made fun of, and not not being made fun of. The world is a brutal, remorseless place, and humor makes it a little more bearable.
PS- I get made fun of all the time. I consider most of the people that do that my best friends in the world, even though they may say things that would have genuinely hurt my feelings 10-20 years ago. And don't tell me "it's not the same", because you have no idea.

Great use of sarcasm! Actually, humor can be classified into only a few different types, if you really want to get into it. Here is an example:

The world is a brutal, remorseless place...so don't worry about trying to make it less so? Don't be nicer to people because no one deserves anything? I just don't get it man.
And if you consider the people making fun of you to be your best friends and it doesn't bother you (I have the same experience, so I get that part), then that is pretty clearly "not the same." It's not about what hurts you, or what hurts me. That isn't the point.
Anyway, if trans jokes make your world "a little more bearable" then I guess this thread was good for something at least.

These and ONLY these. Better read up or we'll be on your rear if you step out of line!!!
You remind me of my grandmom. She didn't have a sense of humor, either.
Being made fun of beats being ignored. Teasing isn't hateful. This post wasn't hateful. It was a parody. What's more, it poked fun at a pretty well rounded group of groups, so the idea that one group deserves sympathy from it is fairly hypocritical in and of itself.
Carry on.

I feel like I am talking to a brick. Seriously, how dense can you be? We aren't talking about my sense of humor! I actually find a number of "offensive" jokes funny. That isn't even close to the point. My point is that even if something makes me laugh, that doesn't mean the joke is worth being made if it makes other people feel sh;tty. It's about trying to be considerate. I can find plenty of other things to laugh at. Sometimes I feel like listening to music really loudly at night, but I don't want to annoy the neighbors, even if they don't "deserve" a good night's sleep.
And what is hypocritical about one group deserving more sympathy over another? I feel sorry for a little starving kitten on the street. I don't feel sorry for my sister's big, fat, lazy cat.
Try to look outside your own perspective and life experience for just a minute.
Thank you for being reasonable with this brick - I would have lost it a few posts ago. Very well stated across all of your posts.
