Practiced running at and around fiancee’s goal marathon pace for next weekend. Did this solo, she did her last longer workout yesterday. Would love to bring home the second half of the race with this split.

First 8 miles around fiancee’s goal marathon pace (8:14/avg). Next 4 miles around 85% of my goal half marathon pace (6:41 40 41 40). Short cooldown.
Weekly Total: 60 miles

Slow start to the week but strong finish. The old lady’s race is next week, so now it’s just eating/sleeping/praying properly. We probably won’t be getting great conditions, but she has trained all summer in awful conditions. So anything low 60s (temp and/or DP) would be a win. Light rain, cloud cover, or misting rain wouldn’t hurt either. Fingers crossed...
No matter what, she will be running a marathon almost exactly a year after being put in a boot for multiple stress fractures in her foot. She wasn’t sure she would ever even make it back to this point. She always my champ. Always.
Hope everyone else had a great week.
