The Tuesday after cross nationals my senior year (college), I was working at the clinic I worked at part time during the school year, and a girl (from a different school) just younger than me came to job shadow my boss, he was busy so I showed her around for a couple hours. As awkward as I was, I was successful enough to gain her interest and we hit it off. The rest as they say is history. Side note, is the week before I had the whole rape stache for stachies at natties thing going on and I had shaved it off the day before, I'd probably still be single and alone if it wasn't for that decision or luck of timing.
Hold strong my friend, she may just show up when/where you're least expecting it.
On the street. Married 25 years now.
True story:
Joined a local running club at beginning 2011. Did a couple of runs with the club that year, saw an attractive woman there but no big deal. We ran different paces so I didn't really communicate with her at all.
Went to another group run in March 2012 and she and I were the only ones that showed up. It was supposed to be a 20k run and I was thinking to myself "I have to suck it up and run with this slower person so I don't seem rude." Well the run went great, good conversation, and after that we started running together more often.
We ended up getting married October 2013. On funny thing, we sort of quit running the last couple of years. Go figure.
met my wife at orientation in college; first girl I saw. We talked over the summer and then started dating 3 weeks into the school year. This was in 2010, now we've been married for a year and looking to buy a house.
don't worry about it, it'll happen when you've fully committed to being yourself. don't settle for a bad relationship either
I was married at the time, technically speaking, but we were separated and I was gettin' what I could on the side, as usual. I met my current wife at a party. My buddy Paolo who invited me to his party was her manager - she was a fashion model from Slovenia, or something. Just a dumb slut, but really hot, and that's all I ever cared about anyway. I'm just glad she's not my daughter, because THAT would be awkward, haha! We've been married about 20 years now, although of course I still cheat on her right & left. She pretends not to see because she knows what's good for her.
Is that you Donnie?
Nothing special.
We saw each other at a co-worker's birthday party (we worked in separate divisions of the same company).
Did not get a chance to meet.
A week late we are with separate groups at a happy hour and she comes out to say hi to the group and we finally meet.
She later tells me she came out hoping to meet me.
I told her I was just about to come in and say hi to her group and meet her.
I met my wife while on a service trip through my church. We had a long bus ride from the one non-service thing we did on the trip, and we got to talking. We found we had a lot of common interests, and the conversation continued for the rest of the day. I didn't go on the trip to meet anyone, but it was a really nice surprise. Married 12 years now.

That's a great story and all, but are you in Kona and does Paolo know how to find you?

She was on the girls track team, nice looking, fun to talk to. We've been married since the very early 80's.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
