The vultures (or hyenas, if you're Kenyan) all want a piece. This could turn into a disaster and the most exciting young talent in years could get squandered.

At 16, she was baited using 1 million shillings ($ 10,000) by Nike
I believe the lawyer. Gilbert Koech is a Golazo dirty journalist and Golazo sympathizer. He represents the sentiments of Golazo and they think that might weaken Chespol's case which they are dead wrong. Anything authored by this Gilbert Koech should be not be trusted and should be condemned. I remember a year or so ago he called Kenyan Olympian Violah Lagat a slut and cultureless, just for the way Violah was dressed in a bikini at the beach.
^ I know, he's a nasty piece of work. Don't know who to believe now. This from back in May.
What Celliphine needs is proper nurturing. She is only 19 and has a cool ten years of active running. I hope the older athletes advise her accordingly.
Celliphine, Conseslus kipruto, Faith Kipyegon and Zakayo Waithaka are four young athletes who will dominate in their disciplines for a while. I could also add Lekuta Solomon in the 800m and perhaps George Manang'oi.

I think that's really good advice. Mentors hopefully will take her under their wings. Though, I think Conseslus might be on the way out.
You might be right. Conseslus talks a big game, delivers on wins, but never on times. He was in the form of his life in 2016 and could very easily have broken 8 but that, unfortunately, was the year he started his showboat celebrations over the last 100m.
Conseslus will be among those who will last a long time. Its only that he has been battling a recurring back problem and that is the reason he has been sluggish this year. In fact if he were someone else he would have skipped the entire season but he has put himself out there and has won some races. The same problem kept him out most of 2014, if my memory is right. He has been managing. Hopefully he can get over it before 2019 season where he will be needed to defend his title and also in 2020 at the Tokyo Olympics. Right now, he is the only one consistent. The second best Kenyan cannot even get to the podium. So we need Conseslus healthy.

Is he talented? Finished behind younger Kenyans in both his events at the U20s.

You're just being facetious here - Jakob has run 3:31
Doped like Jebet. And lol @ you idiots still referring to these cheats as "teenagers." Manangoi and alien-head dude will never improve upon their "junior" performances. Sorry Rosa-cucks.
Oh dear! Here comes the coevett vermin cavalry! Another attempt to ruin this thread and hijack the conversation here and talk about doping. I mean what's new? the jealousy people have of Kenyan success. Anyway i will not waste time with this pests.......Hope all will go well with Celliphine, we are about to dominate the steeplechase in years to come. I am worried about men's steeplechase, Conseslus the only medallist we got. That morrocan El Bakali and others are trouble....I am just hoping Mike Kigen will be a force after some of his performance in the diamond league......
Who is Mike Kigen? Sounds like the guy who transferred allegiance to Turkey or Bahrain and goes by Ozbilen or something.
I just wanted to say that as an American, I love that you folks start threads about your countrymen/women on this board. It gives us an insider's look to your great running heritage. Please ignore the jealous haters, and keep posting. I appreciate a dedicated talent no matter the flag they fly. I would love to visit Kenya and Ethiopia some day.
Peace and love brothers

I sure enjoy watching Kigen run. Are you thinking he was just a one hit wonder?

That's William Tanui, now 'Ilham Ozbilen'.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
