Ches will marry and get his green card. If necessary, I'm available for duty.
-
By 2020 Evan Jager will be our of his prime and move up to the marathon.
-
Wildcard factor: Maybe Trump doesn't allow non-native born people on the team.
-
I still believe that Ritz will be back.

A green card won't cut it, you need to be a citizen -

I haven't given up either -
These picks need revisions.
Clayton Murphy will be running 3:33 for 1500 by this time next year. He will double at Trials and make both teams.
Also, marathon, RITZ. -

How old is Ritz? Don't think he's making it. Murphy could double but why? Hasn't shown he's world class at 1500 yet. -

Nope. Takes 3 years after marriage to be a citizen. https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/us-citizenship-through-marriage-how-does-it-work
Green card won't do it. -
It would be completely outlandish if Ches wasn’t a citizen by 2020. Didn’t he come here in 2009 .. went to HS & college in the states.

Outlandish!? How so? Do you know what it takes to become a citizen in the U.S.? Even with his means. Imagine those who can't afford high priced lawyers. They're screwed. -

If Ritz is healthy--always a big if--he makes the team easily. -

Nice forward looking pick (by Gault) of Patrick Day in the 10,000.
-
I wonder if there is a chance that Rupp wants to try the 10000 / Marathon double? I could see him giving it a go at the trials, we know it won't be a barn burner because it never is.
-
And none of you guys vote for Lopez lomang to make it to the team in 10k or 5km? what about Ryan Hill in the 5km?
-
At this point, I think I may end up making the marathon team.
-
Please update 10,000M "Lock Pick" to say Paul Chelimo.
Heard it here first ;)

I don't think he would try to double again at the Olympics. Running the 10,000 in Rio probably cost him the Silver in the Marathon for two reasons. Running the 2016 track trials likely interrupted marathon specific training and the 10,000 ended up being a very hard race.
