The Friday Night Lights 10K is returning to Danehy Track in Cambridge, MA this Friday, July 20. It's free and exciting to watch, and if you're looking to run a fast time registration is still open and it's cheap.
In the Men's Elite Mile a field led by Julian Oakley (3:55 PR) and Henry Sterling will seek to kick things off with the first sub-4 mile in meet history.
In the Women's Elite 10K, with 5 women seeded at or below 34:00, the field will seek to lower Emma Bates' meet record from 2017 (33:57). Additionally, Roberta Groner (2:30:38, 2nd at CIM) will have her eyes on the American Masters Record in the 10,000.
In the Men's Elite 10K, 6 men are seeded at or below 30:00. We anticipate a battle up-front between 2016 FNL 10K champ Amos Sang of the Western Mass Distance Project (13:42/ 28:20) and Brian Harvey (7:59/ 14:15) and Jonas Hampton (2:15:57) of the BAA . The quality extends further back as well with ten athletes seeded between 31:00 and 32:00.
