So odd.
These over-aged Africans somehow go on to dominate at open level and then miraculously morph into under-aged masters.

Also, notice how Zakayo refers to Joshua Cheptegei, who's in his early twenties, as "a senior". Africans tend to be automatically deferential of those older than them, even if it's only by a few years, and Zakayo appears to look up to Cheptegei that way.

I mean no disrespect nor do I intend to focus on this talented young guy's appearance, but Zakayo isn't the most conventional looking person regardless of age, which is the reason people have picked on him and questioned his age. I would guess he's experienced this his entire life, including teasing and bullying, but there are other parameters and intangibles you can use to guess a person's age, including their voice, general demeanour and subject of conversation.
This guy is worried about getting back to school and homework which is typical of Kenyan teens.

Not being disrespectful either, but both him and Tim look like they were the result of some kind of alien/Kenyan crossbreeding experiment.
And regards the video, he sound like a man in his twenties, and the way he immediately starts talking about school is quite suspicious actually.

This simply isn't true.
Go trawl Wikipedia or IAAF results sometime. Look at the past Kenyan competitors of World Youth and Junior championships. MANY never ran faster than they did at "15, 16, 17, 18." The same will hold true with this current crop. The 25-ish year old who won that 5000 may very well never improve upon 13:20.
They said that when Kipchoge first came into the scene. Same with Bernard Lagat. Almost 20 years later, both Lagat and Kipchoge are still competing at the highest level. And now they want to say they both added years to their age to start with so they are probably not the age they are right now(Kipchoge 33, Lagat 44)
No one said that about Lagat. He was 25 or so at his first Olympics. Ran NCAAs in America, no outlandish "junior" results in Kenya.
Kipchoge - yes. He was probably 21 or so (not "18") when he beat el G in '03, making him 36 now. Doesn't seem unreasonable.
What does that have to do with the insane age-cheating taking place at the now-completed World Junior meet?
You tried.

You are being an imbecile (your favourite word to call others fits you very well here) with that clearly, intentionally disrespectful comment.

Also, I'm not aware of Lagat having any distinguished junior athletics career.
On the contrary, according to the IAAF he went from :
1997 (22) 3:41
1998 (23) 3:34
1999 (24) 3:30
2000 (25) 3:28
2001 (26) 3:26
It's like when the 'older' Manganoi always makes a point of talking about his 'kid brother'. The 'kid brother' his clearly older than he is.

The video looks like a shy teenager to me. I agree, the picture might just be bad lighting or photography affects.
I was at the meet and saw her up close and my thoughts were either an age cheat or has had a very very very tough life so far

O.K., but not intentionally disrespectful - El K brought it up. I'm here because I'm sick of Kenyan doping killing our sport. And I do find it odd that two of the big talents look so bizarre.

I disagree on that one. George Manangoi definitely looks younger than his brother. Hard to say how old but he doesn't look particularly older than Jakob Ingerbrigtsen.
Objectively, Jakob looks very mature and I'd guess he was 19/20 if I didn't know. It's very common for these wonder kids to look mature because that's often why they are better than their age group.

Ha classic, just imagine if it was a scam similar to the twins on 'The Prestige.'

Jakob looks the same age as my 16 year old nephew.
Can't beat a bit of African bashing, or in laymans, racism.

How old does Manangoi look to you in that picture, out of interest?
And what would you guess the age gap at of those two boys, as pictured, not using any bias from historical age cheating?

I would guess that they are the same age. Keyword GUESS.
Any rational human would agree that it's insane to think you can accurately guess someone's age by eye.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
