Also Aaron Cantu ran a 8:57 senior year but Sean Brosnan wasn’t coaching him at that time. I remember someone posting that Sean was writing a training plan for the team for fall 2022, not sure if he was doing it for spring 2023.
Spare me the Nico paced Aschbrenner to an 8:44. It happened. And others were close. Some of you are to focused on hating Brosnan rather than looking at what happened. Deal with it.

Also Goldstein ran a 9:00 as a senior (2021)
Settle down now....I know that. I put in there others were close. Just another example of someone who wish they had Brosnan as their high school coach, but don't want to give up the memories of playing the capture the flag with his high school buddies in summer workouts.
3200 meters 12 Colin Sahlman 8:33 2022 11 Lex Young 8:35 2022 11 Leo Young 8:39 2022 11 Nico Young 8:40 2019 11 Aaron Sahlman 8:48 2022 12 Daniel Appleford 8:52 2022 12 Aaron Cantu 8:57 2023 12 Nick Goldstein 9:00 2021 10 Dev Doshi 9:02 2022 11 Jace Aschbrenner 9:05 2019 11 Hector Martinez 9:10 2022 All of those times were run when Sean Brosnan was the coach, except for Cantu’s 8:57
Aschbrenner ran 8:44, paced by Nico, so that's 8 sub-9 in a span of five seasons, including three sub-8:40 and five sub-8:50, unparalleled. Too bad Nico's senior season was limited by the pandemic in 2020.
It didn’t slow down guys like Aljani Salcico from Jesuit. He ran a 4:11 mile in spring 2020. Big PR for him

Shetty ran a 9:08 (PR) yesterday at Arcadia even though he got tripped and fell. Wouldn’t be surprised if he goes sub-9 by the end of the season.
Doshi ran a 9:02 sophomore year, but I think it will be hard for him to go sub-9 this year. He ran a 9:34 yesterday so I don’t know if he will have time to fully regain or surpass his former fitness to go sub-9 this year. He has missed so much training time this past year
