I think generally people are done buying t-shirts by the time they graduate college. Whatever you’ve acquired at that point is your t-shirt inventory for the rest of your life.
Totally agree with this post.
I guess neither of you are expecting to live too long after college .
I get it .

Also alumni license plate frames. Lame.
Also, what's up with Americans and license plate frames? Especially frames that advertise the car dealer. You probably got ripped off on your car and you still give them free advertising? And apparently I'm other states it's common for the dealer to paint their logo on the trunk. Gross.
Go Euro style. No license plate frames. Also, stop with the bumper and window stickers. Ok, so you like the NRA and think that the second amendment is "the original Homeland security" and you've got a quote from Thomas Jefferson. I suppose I know to avoid you now.
I feel like such a loser now because I didn’t take 3 minutes to remove the license plate frame on my used car and the dealer has been cheating me for free ads for the past two years. I also didn’t realize I got ripped off until this post.
I’ll spend a lot more time worrying about what angry anonymous people think about things that don’t impact them at all. And I’ll strive to be more European. And throw all my branded clothes away.
I went to an Ivy League school and do not wish to wear their stuff. But I would wear a UC-Santa Cruz Banana Slug T-shirt

You live in Texas. Do you really think it is weird to see people wearing A&M and Texas gear?
No, not really, I mean, those are the major state schools. I do think it’s weird to see people in Colorado wearing Pepperdine or Arizona State gear. It’s not like you’re going to run into someone else from one of those schools that are so far out of state.
Be sure to post when you are going to CO from TX so I can not bug you by accidentally wearing MT tee shirts that were given to me and are still perfectly good.

My favorite is the Harvard/MIT shirts worn by people that obviously didn't go there.
I've never observed this. If I see someone in a Harvard t-shirt and I ask them about it, they always turn out to be an alum.
I do wear a cross country t-shirt from a college I didn't attend because I trained quite a bit with the team when I was in my early 20s and lived nearby the campus. I consider it a tribute to my former training buddies.
I met a scruffy guy wearing a Harvard T in a bar near Livingston, Montana about 30 years ago. Said, yeah, he went there and his name was Ted, ....Ted Kazynski.
By the way, he's no longer with us.
or 45 years later.

Yea, he's definitely still alive. But I'm sure the rest of your story is totally true.

I went to Cornell. Don't know if you've heard of it. It's a little school in upstate New York. Happens to be Ivy League, but no big deal.
My time in Ithaca (where Cornell is) is a big part of who I am, so I like to wear the shirt just to communicate a little bit about who I am.
OP. This answers your question

I agree with this view. Wearing a t-shirt you still have from college is a passive decision but installing a license frame is premeditated lameness.
Especially the dealer frame. When you receive your plates in the mail you have to remove the dealer frame anyway. Why put it back?
Dealer put it on my car.
I don't care nearly enough to take it off. Never have had a reason to remove it.

Congrats on typing up a paragraph of useless sh*t.
Who cares if people where a t-shirt from college. Should they say "oh no I'm not in the state that I went to college so I guess this t-shirt can't be worn now."....No. it's a t-shirt and has no impact.

It is a big deal.
In the South it pretty much defines you...
If I see a guy in a Clemson shirt, I go out of my way to harass him.
I feel sorry for people like you. And I am a fan of my alma mater's sports teams. However, it does NOT and never will "define me". If it defines you, you have nothing going on in your life. If you "harass" (sic) people based on a shirt they wear, you have serious personal problems.
Seriously, I feel sorry for you.
I think you're taking the previous post too literally.
This isn't real harassment. It's good-natured ribbing that is generally amusing to the recipient, who will give as good as he gets and have fun doing it. It works particularly well if I'm in California and I give someone a hard time for wearing a UNC shirt. It's a fun way to ask if the person is from North Carolina or not and start a conversation. Back in Raleigh, a substantial fraction of the general populace is walking around in State, UNC, or Duke shirts on any given day so there's not as much point in mentioning it .
Of course, back in middle school, I was actually embarrassed to go to school the next day if State lost to UNC, but that was long ago.

You're right, thought he had a date with I'm Sparky, but No, he's incarcerated at Florence, CO.
