Except when she placed 2nd at worlds in 2013, 5th indoors in 2016, made the 2016 Olympic team in an event she wasn't necessarily planning on, is a consistent US team member, world relay medalist, etc, etc,

2013 was 6 years ago.
With that same logic, Charles Jock was a Rio Olympian. How has literally every other race worked out for him the past small handful of years?

The Ann Calvello of mid-distance was at it again in the women's mile at the NB Games today: three separate contact/stumble incidents. I'm a fan of Martinez, but she seems to find -or cause- trouble in every other race she's in.
I was at the meet seated right where the fall occurred . That was all on Praught Leer who bumped into Coburn . That happens when you have 15 runners in an indoor mile
Jock hasn't had a good performance since he made the team for Rio. Martinez Is racing and made the 2017 team, has had some bad races, and yet is still likely to be a contender at USAs in the 1500 this year.
Jock has no medals and has made two teams. Martinez has made at least 4 and has had two top 5 finishes.
Not even close.
Her legs swing outward after ground contact. Look at videos of her races. The big tumble in the 800m in 2016 was started when her leg swung out and her foot contacted a runner who was slightly behind her and to her side.
I noticed the same thing years ago, which is why I searched the topic and found this thread AFTER she did it again in the 2019 USATF champs 1500 final.
Why didn't she compete in Des Moines? Is she injured or pregnant?
I sure do miss seeing her. Beautiful woman, totally fierce.

Really? BMart was in the 1500 final today?
How'd I miss that?
