Rip off!
Is there a Rose Ceremony every night after "Altitude Sessions?"
hey if sara Bei is going to be there, It can't be a rip off. She is worth every penny
The camp has value by looking at the coaches with legendary Irv Ray & Brant Tolsma of Liberty who guided Josh McDougal. Co-directors of the camp are Avery Blackwell and Greg Jimmerson whose years of success speak for themselves. I am sure there experience at an elite level has solid advice for college runners looking to take the next step in running.
Perhaps someone could "find" some of her "personal" items and auction them off on E-bay to finance the cost of the trip? Hahahaha!!!!

No offense to Coach Tolsma, but i believe that Josh Mcdougal guides himself.
This appears to be a "christian" running camp, thus you have to survive some serious religious garbage. As for Irv Ray, many here have their own opinions, let's leave it at that.
If you want a REAL altitude training camp, look into this one at Northern Arizona U (Flagstaff), run by the head coach at NAU:
This is a college camp at Mammoth Lakes. The one at NAU is high school. Do not misrepresent. Now, Wejo does elite and college athletes to come train.
Who cares whether this is Secular, Mormon, Jewish, Christian or other group? I decided to go Jim Ryun's even though during the camp he will share his Christian faith. There is always another key piece of information that we could miss which may lead you to the next level. You want to be successful in life, always listen to what people have to say!
Great to know the information.
Do you think this National Monument is off-limits?
I'm pretty sure if someone posted a link for a muslim running camp or a jewish running camp, there wouldn't be too many people coming on here and bashing it. Why do people feel the need to bash everything associated with Christianity? What is so threatening about mentioning a Christian running camp?

Sorry if I hurt your feelings... if there is a muslim or jewish running camp, would they have hotdogs around a campfire?
Lighten up, Irv.
I doubt that is IRv for one thing. Plus you need to stop bashing religion on this board just liek so many others do. So what if people have beliefs that you don't agree with. Get over it and leave them be. If we choose to believe in Christianity then we are following our faith by sticking up for it. Show respect for others and let them have their beliefs. I thought the most of the first world countries were past such personal persucution. I would gladly go to such a camp if I had the time to do so this summer but as a college student I must make some money. I would hope that some people use some common politeness on this board and that the moderators start taking care of such postings that I see all the time on here.
Are you new here? Check out the sarcasm in almost ALL of the posts. Nobody and nothing are off limits. Believe what you want... I believe that I will have a beer right now.
Why would you doubt that collegecoach was Irv. Irv is a college coach, a Christian, and defensive of the camp. It very well COULD be Irv.
Let the muslims and jews post next. Heck... look for some of my posts and take a poke at them. Water off a duck's back. The reason people have so much fun poking fun at the religious posts is due ONLY to see the defending posts. You have your religion, and no one is taking it away from you; show a little sensitivity, and letsrun.com members will have a field day.
There is no way that I would go to this camp because Irv Ray will be there. This guy is a stuck up punk with a huge chip on his shoulder. If you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, what ever you should reflect this in all your doings. I don’t think he does this. Seeing that Irv is a coach at UCR, he should not be allowed to promote a religious camp using his status through his current employer. After all UCR is not a religious institution.
One last note, why no Meb or Dena, Mammoth is their home town?
Anyone actually planning on going to this camp? I'm considering it.
yeah i plan on going and four of my buddies from the University of Washington. It is really a sweet camp and you get to meet a whole bunch of awsome guys from around the country who share the same passhion as you, glorifying god through running! I hope this helps if you want me to tell you more let me know.
Hey Foshizzy, Was the camp held last year? I'm definetely interested in more information about it. Can you email me at
