I agree. Nice bro.
I agree. Nice bro.
This Jamin guy is a punching bag here at LetsRun...and rightly so.
He’s supposedly stressing about work and time to run, so why not use your time more efficiently instead of whining about it here, or messing around with your Tinder?
I knew it was time to stop running when I realized that I became anxious about finding time to run instead of enjoying my family and life in general.
It was the best decision I've ever made to hang up the shoes about 3 years ago. Been a great last 3 years.
You watch your whore mouth.

That's a bunch of bull. It doesn't matter what you're hobby is, there will always be some tension and give and take with the rest of your life.

You still vacation with your parents even though (by age) you are an adult?

You stopped running but now you hang out on a running related website & forum. Are you now anxious about finding time to hang out on this site?
Like baby Jamin, you will whine too?
Ahh...family.
This weekend was the first weekend that my wife of nearly 3 years complained about my running. I just wrapped up a 65 mile week.
Ran for 2 hours on Saturday morning and gave her the heads up that I was doing so. No real complaints then, but my 6 mile, 48-minute run at 4:50am on Sunday morning got her extremely agitated. I didn't know the 5 o'clock hour was so important to her.
I love how a 48 minute run is "you were gone too long!!!", but my trip to get groceries for our family in which I was gone for nearly 90 minutes is totally acceptable as was the 7-hour barbecue we attended with our agitated toddler at her sister's house. Also acceptable is our 3-hour baby play group that we attend every Sunday at 9am and her 50 minutes in the bathroom everyday.
Apparently I'm a selfish man for wanting an hour to myself to run and take a shower.
In 20yrs, you won't care about either. In the long run, none of it matters.
All that passive aggressiveness sounds like a divorce in the making.

Seems a double-standard that spending 1 hr on any other solitary hobby (e.g. video games, reading) isn't seen as selfish. What's the difference between "vanity" and "self-improvement", I ask?
Time to say NO.

Have you actually raised ANY of this with your family?
