No, you shouldn't change the time of your workouts. Most races are in the evening or afternoon. Training around the time you will race is the best strategy. Conte may be correct about morning testosterone levels but there is a lot more to being ready for a workout or race than just testosterone. Working out in the morning with higher testosterone levels while you are still not "warmed up" neurologically, neuro-muscularly, fascially will increase your chance of injury.
