Why is no one talking about Kentucky Derby?
Why is no one talking about Kentucky Derby?
They are a bit but people on here are uncomfortable with the concept of genetics deciding racing talent.
If they donate the horsey meat to homeless shelters from the horseys put down since they were not fast enough then that would be good for mankind.
Because who cares??
Forget the trolls. Here's why:
1. The favorite won
2. A non-underdog owner/trainer won
3. The triple crown drought is over. No excitement since American Pharaoh broke the streak in 2015.
Actually, move #3 to the top.
+1
The real question here is, with the random BS PETA gets upset about, why don't they get mad when the Jockeys whip the horses, especially on national TV?
Watch out for Audible at the Belmont .
Not the quickest pony out of the gate but has endurance .
He just ran out of track today . Belmont is the longest of the three majors .
His win at the Florida derby , although not a fast time , proves to me , he
loves to run and win .
Audible got a bad start , but closed hard .
Congrats to Justify and pure running in the mud !
Too busy watching Race Walking!

Oh , so now you can win the Triple crown by just winning the Kentucky Derby ?
Thanks, Mr. Ed
Here is what I wonder. Does a horse ever just think "F it, I'm done with this", buck off the jockey, and start walking? Now that would be awesome.

People followed out of curiosity... Actually, nevermind, not worth the time.
Justify ran a smart race. Ran from the front most of the way, stayed out of trouble. The jockey wasn't even muddy after the race.
Seriously, I think track fans can relate to this on a certain level.
Yes, and the horses run by feel.

Great answer.
Horse Racing: The Sport of Kings. But all we have at LR are sissy SJW types and trolls.
Because doped horses whose only purpose is to run fast for a couple of years and then killed isn't very appealing.
We can. But we also know that Mike Smith, being that he was originally an East Coast Jockey, knew how to race justify. This was truly a symbiosis of runner (Justify) to coach (Smith) to trainer (Baffert). Mike Smith is among the best jockeys ever. Bob Baffert knows how to create winners. Justify knew how to handle the mud. This was the diamond league title, the worlds, the olympics and the litany of dreams altogether. And I am glad people won pennies. Clink clink lol

Yes, Communist horses do that all the time. They are called Elmers.
Absolutely If you watched the #3 horse Thunder Road last year in from Dubai He slipped and slid for about 200m and said nope! No mud for me. The jockey stayed but....well watch the recap. It never rains in Dubai lol

Small correction: Thunder Snow*
His mother was a mudder.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
