20417 kipchoge
Wow, you idiots who said Farah would drop badly sure look dumb!
Congratulations, fools!
Genuinely very impressed by Mo.
Brilliant run fir Kipchoge. 55 degrees and even pacing, and this guy runs definitely 2:02 flat.
Sondre Moen's record stands.

So Mo is the real deal
Another 4th for Abel Kirui.
Theu should have hired flotrack to stream this....would have to at least been better than NBCSN
That's PRs for women #1, #2, and #3, and for men #2 and #3, they've said.

NBCSN ever use cameras before ? They can’t show 5 seconds of coverage without it breaking up.
They are using the BBC feed.
There were times during the first half especially when you could actually hear the BBC commentators in the background. The biggest example was when Dibaba stopped for the first time around the one hour mark.

Could Kipchoge have broken the record if he’d gone faster sooner? If Kitata hadn’t been with him so he didn’t have to worry about winning and coulda just gone for it? He looked so smooth (and fast) at the end... not sure what his last 2 miles were at though.
LOL could he have run 90 seconds faster?
No.
Mo has run 2:06 now...third in London. Wow!
I think he has 2:03 potential.
Bekele 2:08:54ish.

A somali can't break the European record.
Neither can a British guy ...

powerful drugs could only get Moe to the finish. Maybe next time he can run a fast time with better doping. Needs new Ethiopian pharmacy.
Top notch performances by Kipchoge, Katata and Farah. To those saying the opening pace was too hard: first miles are down hill. Since they knew it would get hotter the only way to have a shot at the WR was by going through the half in 6100 and hoping to hold a 62 second half. It ended up being a 63 second half for Kipchoge. So I think from Kipchoge's perspective this wasn't stupid. He is experienced enough to know when to back off, he never blows up.

2:04:17 unofficial.
Don't know how to describe the guy. Unbelievable consistency and dominance in an event that doesn't lend itself to domination.
Agreed. He’s phenomenal. And all his wins have been fast. Shows what happens when your talent is matched with the how straight your head is on.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
