I’ve been running the 800 since freshman year (now a junior) and have been 2:12 every year can’t get faster. I can run a 4:50 mile but can’t break 60 in the 400. 17:00 5k
Speedwork?

Honestly none of your other times are indicative of sub 2 ability. 2:12 is about what i'd expect.

Some people just don't have speed. As someone else said, your other times don't show you should be able to break 2:00 in the 800. I know a high school kid who has run 9:10 for 3200 and can't run under 60 in the 400.

If thats the distance you 100% love then I would focus on a lot of quick twitch stuff for a while. High knees, strides, explosive weight lifting, jumping. Hill runs. One thing you wont believe is running on one leg. Do some 50 meter sprints on one leg at a time.
