More anti-Elon news. Most cars will burst into flames with drunk drivers, there is nothing electric about it.

At first, the CEO said that these thrusters, which basically amount to small rocket engines, will “dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking and cornering”, but he also said that it would “maybe even allow a Tesla to fly.”
Improve braking and cornering, yeah right.
Elon has jumped the shark a long time ago. time to find a new expression. "Musketeering" maybe?
Wasn't the roof of the Gigafactory supposed to covered with solar panels and the factory basically be off the electric grid? I don't see any solar panels.

Cashing out, while the rest of you are still holding the bag.
A Tesla in Germany has gone up in flames and "burned out completely" to the ground "for no apparent reason" in a parking lot.
The Tesla was reportedly in the residential area of Ratingen-Breitscheid when it caught fire, leaving "not much more than a pile of ash" behind.
The post-fire photos of the car are literally stunning.
A local resident reportedly heard a large "bang" during the night, the article says. It continues: When he ran into the street to check, he found that a Tesla was burning there, and the man immediately alerted the fire department, which in turn informed the police about the fire.
Emergency services reportedly found a "completely flaming car" when they arrived on the scene and the fire department was able to extinguish the fire eventually. The fire was so big that a BMW located four meters away was damaged from the heat. (Pro tip: never park near a Tesla)
The feature came out at the same time as a law in California allowing people to break into a car parked in the sun if they see an animal.
https://electrek.co/2019/07/31/tesla-fixing-potentially-dangerous-bug-dog-modes/It's hot as all hell in Seattle. Today I used dog mode and luckily I kept the app open, to my horror the car was 85 degrees and climbing!
Dog mode only works if in auto, if you manually set the fan and leave the AC turns off.
Tesla has a very real and deeply engrained problem with testing.
To them, the design is the ultimate test.
For a self declared software company, they seem to use the developers to test their own version, if at all.
This is not a new thing, but has been ongoing for years.
New release > User feedback on Twitter > fix, release > repeat.
Driver dies on AP > Tesla shares skewed overall accident rates >ignores circumstances of the crash > thus no need to geo fense the anomolous situation > let alone redesign software before alloing AP to be engaged there again > drivers test AP on the sccene of the death and keep getting the same lethal bug. Not every driver will be LOOKING for the error.
Also, Tesla keeps doing as little as possible to ensure drivers behave safely.
incident> public outrage > don't whine people, we're awesome, ask our customers > regulators step in > Tesla fixes shruggedly.
Not actually caring about customers, not even really considering them drivers anymore, is where it's all coming unraveled for them. But it's a slow process. Very slow.
Overall, to me Tesla today is a "could have been so great". Many opportunities are created only to let them go to waste. Mismanagement, CEO over-confidence, consistent underperforming own planning and milestones.
I am a big fan of the tech. Sad how they waste it.
Shocking new video out of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico shows a Tesla Model X going bezerk while attempting to park. The incident reportedly occurred last Saturday in front of a bakery on Calle de la Candelaria street.
The Model X was attempting to park next to a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, when it suddenly sped up, smashing into the front of the truck. From there, the Model X narrowly avoids a woman that was getting out of the truck on the passenger side before the vehicle shoots across two lanes of traffic, destroying a street sign and narrowly missing another pedestrian.
Then the car starts driving wildly, in circles and out of control, before finally coming to a halt in the middle of the street.
Other vehicles passing the car missed it by extremely thin margins and fortunately, the two pedestrians involved were not injured.
According to Tu Noticia PR, the driver claimed "that the electric Tesla vehicle suddenly accelerated."
A full video of the incident was posted on Twitter.
