I've had a good week, aside from being very negative about my first marathon.
Yesterday I did a workout based 100% on heart rate.
1.5 miles @ 140-150 bpm, 7:00 pace
3.17 miles @158-162 bpm, 6:00 pace
.4 miles @150-152 bpm, 6:30 pace
2 miles @ 168-172 bpm, 519 pace
3 mile cooldown.
When finished, my garmin gave me a new V02 max, and lowered my marathon prediction. Hard to imagine running under 2:40 at this point.
Vaporflys ordered, but have not arrived. I'm a little worried they'll be too big.
