M - 10 miles (1:17:50). 7:47/avg.
Mostly low 8:00s, last two miles 7:08, 6:23.
T - 4 miles (32:04). 8:01/avg.
Rainy, legs felt very heavy so I cut it short.
W - Rest. Felt exhausted. Wanted to feel ready for the big workout on tomorrow’s schedule.
Th - 6.5 miles (48:10). 7:24/avg.
Aborted workout. Was planning on doing 18mi @ 95%MP. First 3.5mi @ 6:45/mi, legs had no pop at all and I felt exhausted. Barely managed 8:20/mi on the 3 miles home. Felt like I hit a wall, so I didn’t fight it.
F - 10 miles (1:19:45). 7:58/avg.
5 x :20 strides the last mile. Noticeable difference in feeling for the first time since Monday.
Sa - 20 miles (2:15:30).
2 mile warmup with strides, 18 miles @ 95% MP (6:39/avg). Every mile was within 6:37-6:43. Had to really focus and work hard the last few miles, but kept a very steady rhythm the entire run. Night and day difference from the aborted attempt on Thursday.
Su - 9.5 miles (1:18:23). 8:15/avg.
Weekly Total: 60 miles, about 7 hours and 32 minutes of running

Three weeks to go for me. Would have liked more overall volume the last 6 weeks or so, but I am satisfied with the two race results, 17:11 and 1:18:45, and the quality of my longer workouts this cycle. Just a few more big workouts planned before tapering the last 10 days.
