Yeah, on meet days I usually try to have a bagel with peanut butter, an apple, a banana (this is a must), some sorts of granola bar, water, belvita's breakfast biscuits are always a go-to. I try to stay away from anything greasy or super high in salt. A lot of carbs (a mix of simple sugars and complex carbs) some protein and water. I always make sure I don't stuff myself and snack on a protein bar about and hour to an hour and a half before the race, in between races it's water and small amounts of fruit, and easily digestible carbs... I'm pretty superstitious so it's almost always the same and pretty ritualistic
Kid from PA - yeah, I mean it varies from runner to runner or team to team, but I am super super competitive so it's very hard for me not to look at every meet as a big meet.(which I found out last year, can be very mentally draining over the season). We race Butler, NA and Seneca in dual meets/trip meets this year, so there are guys at all those schools I like to compete with and it's hard to back down at dual meets lol, I'm sure they feel similar about those.
I forgot that you guys go to Butler, hopefully you will get that sub-10 beforehand so that you will get out in the fast heat. Unfortunately I couldn't stop my time enough last year to get in a fast heat until Wpials.
