First of all, I gotta say I am a huge fan of Adidas running shoes - do 90% of my runs in the Adizero Boston 6 and track work in the Adios.
I saw a sale recently on Adidas Supernova on RunningWarehouse for $50 (regularly $130), so I thought I would give them a try.
I took them out the box and was really surprised by the fit of the shoes - they fit similar to an Altra, with an extremely wide toe box. Definitely a big turn off for me since I like the dialed in / narrow fitting Boston 6 and Adizero.
There was a lot of foot slide going on in my first run and no matter how hard I laced them up, my forefoot kept sliding around in them. They're also relatively heavy - weighing in at 11oz in size 9. While the shoes offer nice protection and I dig the contagrip outsole, these will likely be going back to RW due to the fit issues.
I think these shoes offer great protection and would work nicely for certain people, just didn't work out for me.
