to be clear... I was not moving the goal posts. I was trying to guess which goal posts you were relying on to make your claim.
cheers.

I think he should just stick to HMs where you could have a shot at running a world best. He could do that without having to change his mechanics too much. Marathons are a different thing, I am not sure he can adjust his foot striking at this point of his career. That he wont be able to challenge Kipchoge & co that's not exactly earth shuttering (he is the first to admit that), but thinking he cant run 2.05/2.06 is purely asinine.
I know there are a lot of sour grapes out there, but come on people..... best you can do is playing grammar police or playing innuendos that says it all you have no arguments...

It's quite simple: nobody at the 5k/10k distance, not even the all time greats and fastest, have dominated like Farah did from his late 20s to mid 30s. In that age range, even the best were in decline.
There will always be age outliers like Kidd, Wolde, Lopes, and Wanjiru. I'm not talking about who ran the fastest time at what age; I'm talking about what I referred to above. Farah's dominance at the championship level and impovement across the board from 28 to 34 is completely unprecedented.
Is this you, OP?

Farah dominated, because most of the money in long distance moved from the track to the road. Many Ethiopians and Kenyans nowadays and since Farah’s dominance have gone straight to the road. In a way he’s like that sub elite marathoner who goes for the 5k or 10k in a marathon weekend so he can stand on a podium
