Shannon Rowbury is pregnant

Frisco has always been the center of USA Distance runners.

Can’t put it off forever, I guess. She’s 33 now, so one has to wonder if this is it for her competitively. She could come back and have a 1-3 more good years, but that’s right around the age where I could see her just moving on instead.

This is perfect timing for her to come back next year in a World Championship year. Women often do as well or better (a while) after pregnancy.

Probably. Everybody knows about the increased risk of stuff like downs syndrome with increasing maternal age, less are aware of the association with increased depression, anxiety, and other mental illness with maternal age.

The Pamakids running club is a 50 year old San Francisco running club. It stands for Pa, Ma and the kids. Just a little history.
