OK. Fair point. But, how far does that get us? Oh, not very. If everybody knew this, why didn't a few more non-Africans go train in remote places in Africa? Did no one outside of Africa want to win anymore? How likely is it that less than 5 people (per event), from 5-continents, for nearly three decades, were unable to at least partly replicate what Africans routinely did, on a scale unprecedented in any other sport, in villages lucky to have electricity to store their EPO and frozen blood. Or, maybe they did, and that was the best they could do. How can this explain the superior performance of Africans living outside of Africa? Forget about winning for a moment, and let's look at much less impressive, yet still formidable milestones. Why did we have to wait until 2010, post-ABP, for Solinsky (training in USA) to become the first non-African to go sub-27:00 for 10K, 17 years after Yobes Odieki, and 12 years after Geb ran 26:22.75? Why are we still waiting for the first non-African sub-2:06 (excluding Ryan Hall's tail-wind performance), when 69 East Africans and 3 North Africans have done it? Khalid Khannouchi did it twice as an American. Yet, for all the Moroccan doping, producing the likes of El G, and Ramzi and Mourhit, only 3 North Africans have run sub-2:06. Can we only dope unrestrained in remote villages in Africa? South Africa (which I counted as "5 continents") didn't seem to profit too much from this. I only found 3 men for the marathon, and 1 women for the 5000m and 10000m. Team US Postal were able to dope unchecked in remote places in Spain. I heard lots of rumors Albequerque was a hotbed of doping. Who was controlling Italy in the 1990's, as Conconi and Ferrarri were gearing up their methods of cycling "training"? What could be more protected than the Russian government protecting Russia, or the Chinese government protecting China? Couldn't Russia and China at least out-do Morocco? It's telling that your best tools are "sarcasm, abuse, mockery, trolling, derision, contempt, threats, scorn, e-mail viruses, and roars of unrestrained laughter, and ... a huge steamy dooker".
