Won by two seconds and then did intervals after...
-
typical NOP fashion i see
-
He looked good but wasn’t jogging. I don’t think he is ready to go much faster than a few seconds. He is young so it is probably just like the college guys who start at 1:50 and end up at 1:46 by end of season. He should be one of the best in the world for 6-8 years if he sticks to 1 event at the championship meets.
-
You guys are absolute idiots. HE WON... sorry he didn't meet your expectations

What's the Academy of Art? Dude got 2nd to Clayton Murphy. Kind of funny.

D2 school in San Francisco. It is a fairly prestigious school for the big money arts (film, basically). They mostly fill their team by poaching kids from D1 and from foreigners.
Since they are the only real art school with a legitimate track team, they pretty well have the market cornered on anybody wanting to pursue that as well as athletics.
They run a very small squad and focus on a very few events, basically sprints and distance. They have a few kids who hurdle or LJ because they are sprinters that hurdled in hs, but they dont coach the hurdles at all.
They dont have throws or jumps.
They had some crazy coaching turnover over the past few years.
They dont have a track facility, they bus their athletes daily to a JC's track about 20 minutes away for their workouts. -
Seems like this meet got super-competitive to get into, and yet median finish times have been getting worse. Did they change the surface or something?
-
Like the entry standard is 1:53.00 and only 1/21 of guys ran under taht
-
It's just early in the season. It happens every year. In 2-3 months you'll be seeing much better times.
-
I heard he got a head start, so he cheated and then punched that field in the face.
-
He would've crushed Robby!
-
Not terrible considering he had surgery less than two months ago.

Once again, this sh*t makes no sense. What is the reasoning for changing it? -
Anyone know his 400 or 600 splits?
-
watched a guy go 1:45 yesterday. forgive me if I'm unimpressed.
-
No worries. It was a miler workout: 800m at goal mile pace (=3:43.25), followed by a cutdown.
-
The question marks are appropriate - frankly I think Clayton is done. His attempt double at USA's was a fatal error.

watched the video and I think it was 55 something at 400 and 1:08 at 500m (the 500 was from the flot**** announcer). -
