While I have no clue who the OP is, a 9:00 3k certainly wouldn’t be a stretch for him in peak shape per what he has written. Assuming he is being truthful (obviously, this is not a given... but for the purposes of this thread, let’s make that assumption), he got under 1:55 off of very limited training while overweight. This leads me to believe OP was a 1:47-1:49 type guy (like a decade ago). Many guys in this range could run mid 8s, even without major “distance chops”.
Sh!t, you're actually pretty good at this. Yea, I came from a distance background and moved down in event. 4:24 as a hs frosh miler. Which is good now but there are so many more studs. Do you have any suggestions on a workout plan or did the person towards the beginning of this thread get it right?
