Like a lot of people said on here, always support your local running store if you can.
But man, RW prices are hard to beat. After I moved, and there wasn't a local shop to support, and if you buy older models you can pay half of what they retail for new, maybe more. I've bought Hoka Cliftons for less than $70 on there. Can save a lot of money on other discount gear too. I've found local stores do great with shoes but can struggle in the running shorts and other apparel department.
Someone else mentioned this too, but always google for RW discount codes too. Usually can always find a code for an extra 10-20% off.
A local shop is always best for the sport though. Having a running specialty store is best for the community and promoting the sport. Sadly, the Amazon effect is hitting just about every retail market.
Support the local shops if you can, but if not, hard to beat RW.
