Since when is 8K a WR event??

If you want to pick on drugs cheats then, pick on ALL of them.
Does suspending athletes who test positive count as "picking on" them? If so, your wish has already been granted. Or are you saying that Leghzaoui should get to keep racing despite being popped because many of those who AREN'T caught are also doping?
Ether way, you really aren't very bright, are you?
Because they haven't been shown that their event will suffer in the least from being associated with a known cheater. Obviously a few high-minded elites boycotting isn't enough, losing them vs. losing someone you can hype as a world record breaker and potential course/world record setter is not that hard of a trade-off -- the event will get more press attention from a world or course record than it will from just another African win. Now if area running clubs banded together and came out in a boycott against the race to protest allowing a known cheat to compete against clean competitors, then something might start being done about it. The average runner (the vast majority of entrants in any road race) know next to nothing about the elite level of the sport that doesn't involve Marion Jones, so they'll have no idea who Leghzaoui is or what she might have done wrong in the past if no one tells them. Fellow runners taking a public stand would raise the awareness and be a genuine threat to the event's reputation in the public's eye.
Because Hellebuyck (incidentally, whose name I could never spell correctly until AFTER he was busted as a cheater) has more of a high profile among visitors to this site. Not only was he the envy of many masters runners (who are among the site's more vocal visitors) but he was also a participant himself, albeit an arrogant, abrasive, self-important, and often-controversial one. The women's side of the sport that gets much airplay here consists of Radcliffe, Kastor, and whoever the hottie-of-the-minute is. Leghzaoui fits none of those, doesn't matter that she set records on the roads. Of course she should pay a heavier toll and be banned from races, but so long as no one will hold RD's accountable for allowing to compete in their events then they'll find no problem in it.
listen nutsack,
Legzhaoui was busted, did her time, and is NOW CLEAN..as clean as anyone on the roads.
We dont need some dumbass like you or Wejo deciding that its still not enough punishment..take that up with WADA , but leave her alone to persure her career just like the rest of the CLEAN runners.
Is that too complicated for you?

Legzhaoui.... is NOW CLEAN
How do you know???
You say she is clean. Well, that ends it all right there, then, doesn't it?
The fact is, that there will always be a cloud over her. Sorry, but while she is in the clear from a legal perspective, her reputation as an athlete is shot. That's one of the downsides of getting caught using drugs.
Does anyone consider that Morocco does not have any testing and hence there is no reinstatement testing for this lady? For example, Eddy Hellebuyck is being tested each quarter for 12 months prior to being considered for reinstatement; out of competition! Until USADA wants to test the real cheaters in the US out of competition; ie, All Northern African's and Eastern Europeans, the whole testing scenario is a game of bullshit! How many countries follow the WADA/USADA code? There is the better question. Why is Asmae not being tested out of competition? No answer and USADA could care less.
Morocco Times
If you had bothered to do any research on this at all, you would know she has been tested randomly out of competition 4 times since she was suspended. Read the Washington Post story if you need confirmation. Try to at least state facts if you are going to blast someone.
Ok, so theres a cloud over her. Big deal. She knows and accepts that (read her interview in Wash Post), now its time to move on..after she did her punishment.
Shes as clean as anyone else on the roads..its for YOU to prove shes not.
Theres a cloud over Lance armstrong too, with LOTS of rumors of drug taking..even a book written about it.
What's your point? Asmae Leghzaoui was caught and will FOREVER be associated with cheating. It is important for her to move on because she has to get on with life, but for the rest of us, it's just a trifle: she cheated, got caught, and that's how she will pretty much always be known.
"Shes as clean as anyone else on the roads"
Not as clean as me mate. And how the heck do you know if she's clean or not? Do you know the full extent of new drugs out there and the tests that might or might not be available for them? Enlighten us eh?
Boo-hoo. Wipe your tears, crybabies. Asmae took her suspension, is now running clean, and is better and faster than you. Deal with it, losers.
