86th street.... 6 miles to go @ 11:30!
AquaDyne ... can you take Sandy in to the end? I have step out out for a bit.
If she makes a left at 72nd, and heads over to Broadway, she can still run through Times Square, and possibly even shorten the distance (staying on Broadway).

You got it. As long as I don't get too distracted watching Huskies vs. Ducks.

Have only been there once many years ago...dunno, but maybe that is not such a good idea late on a saturday night.

So AquaDyne, where has Joyce Lee, the 'media guru', been stationed throughout this venture?
this is amazing, no? wrote:

Dunno, really. I know she's been with the crew off and on (and is with them now) but I only know what I read here and on Cinder's FB.
Okay. Do you know what part "The Doc", Chris Roman, M.D. plays in this? Has he been out there too?

Media Guru? Can she be requested to upload some video coverage of this World Record onto youtube? A lot of folks do not use Facebook, in part because Facebook can be very annoying with pop-ups to those that don't sign-in. youtube video's (currently) don't present that issue.
27th Street. 3 miles to go.

My apologies for this thread being deleted. Totally inexcusable. It's been restored as has this one on her breaking the record
Congratulations to Sandra VI, she is the boss! 54 days and change.
Too bad there was apparently no video of her final moments approaching NY city hall and the finish line of her epic journey. I hope somebody in the crowd captured something, and will share it soon. Otherwise she's going to have to run it again! :-P
Congratulations to Sandy! Amazing run and amazing final stage.

Not only did she crush the prior records by 9 days for the unofficial record set by Lorna Michaels (64 running days which is 63 days X hours elapsed running time), and 14 days (68 days ) for the Guinness record, she did it by running 200 miles further that either of those ladies ran.

She DID IT!!! Finished at 1:24 am local time. With a 6:00 am start time (Pacific Time) in SF on 9/11, her official time is 54:16:24 (56 days, 16 hours, 24 minutes).
Here is a YouTube video of her final few minutes (I don't know who took or uploaded it), including her ascent of the City Hall steps. I also have a few pics I'll share as well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzLFK2gbjgM&feature=youtu.beThe team is also going back to City Hall during normal business hours tomorrow, to get some daylight finishing pics as well!
Thanks to everyone who followed along over the course of the last two months!
Wow! Thank you so much for that!
Man, her body (rounding that slick corner) revealed she might be in a bit of pain (after traversing 3000 some miles).
I've processed the final Strava file from Sandra's account and the statistics graphs and Excel files for her run are now complete:

Sandra transitioned between running and walking over 230 times for her last run that started on Nov. 3rd and lasted for 41.2 hours, covering 138.6 miles. Note that in this run-walk cycle graph for Sandra, the number of run-walk cycles (black line) is lower than the previous chart I showed because the previous charted used unsmoothed cadence for that particular statistic. This graph is all smoothed cadence:

Bravo, Sandy!!! What a journey, simply amazing. Thanks to So Far for keeping the splits going throughout Sandy's adventure despite the a-hole trolls and to Scam for doing all that fancy coding work. It's been fun.
