Email the brojos. I just did. Typically this happens when a troll hammers the report thread post over and over again. Wejo is aware of the problem, but the mod managing things tonight is likely not.
The trolls are butt-hurt Mimi fanboys from here URC crew. They are Brits and cannot stand an America won a race on American soil that should been won by their Brit, Mimi Anderson. -

Hmmm, here are some conspiracy ideas as to why:
1. Flotrak has some insiders that the BRoJo's picked up as moderators, unknowing they were double agents. The Flotrak insider moderator deleted the thread since they couldn't put the TransCon behind a paywall.
2. One of the moderators is a teed-off brit fan-boi that is obviously peo'd Sandra Vi, rather than Mimi, is getting all the attention.
3. One or more of the moderators does not like ultra's, nor consider what Sandy was doing was actually 'running'.
Any other ideas? -

I should clarify that's EDT, not EST, as there will be two 1:24 a.m.'s today. :)
Sandy and team are en route the RV for some well deserved rest. They plan to return to City Hall on Monday for photos. -

Congratulations Sandy Villines! But what the actual F?? Sandy finishes her 54 day transcontinental run, and at the very moment of finish, the thread with over 5000 posts gets DELETED???
For reference, the original thread ID is 8390477. Mods, please restore it ASAP. -

URC fanboys who cannot stand that Marvellous Mimi failed and her running days are now permanently over. -
Is it just me, or did Cinder's live stream video completely fail right at the moment where Sandy finished? I saw video of Cinder at city hall anxiously awaiting Sandy's arrival, then 2 minutes of a still frame of somebody's hand, then the run was over and people were just milling around on the sidewalk talking about blankets and Ubers.

Hey AquaDyne, thanks for posting the link to the Live video. It did cut in and out. And Cinder had trouble pointing the camera at the faces, besides keeping the camera steady....which just goes to show you, as said elsewhere, "it is, what it is". lol
But man, did anyone else not capture video that can be put up in a feature production? I realize this thing was a run-off on a shoestring, which makes it all the more sublime and poignant.
The deleting of the threads is just icing on the cake if somebody is that pissed.
Sublime, surreal, and poignant.
And Sandy just walks off into tomorrow, planning her next great adventure?
No video? Where was Billy Yang? lol -

I am 99.9% convinced nothing to do with Mimi or her team, but someone with a more rooted beef with Sandra or her crew. -

So Conspiracy reason #4:
4. someone with a more rooted beef with Sandra or her crew bombed (reported) the threads. Wowzers! That has to be some major butt-hurt if so. You're not suggesting anyone, like with the initial TP? She ain't that crazy.......huh? -

It was cutting out a lot. And ultimately Sandy approached the steps from a different direction where Cinder wasn't waiting... so we missed it anyway! -

Yikes, no evidence....hmmm, I guess she'll just have to do it again next year. C'ya. ;-) -

I was thinking slightly differently, but who knows. Not worth discounting what just happened, which is what they would want in their deep hole of hate. Just seems like Mimi's team has had plenty of time to recognize and accept the result. -
Well hey, not familiar with TP, I truly apologize to her if I put her up falsely for circumspection. But your post, and this outcome, was getting so bizarre that it was kind of the only possibility I could think of, since I'm way of an outsider looking from afar.
There actually may be some other simple explanation. Maybe the LRC board choked, and all the moderators and the tech guru are asleep, in prep for the NYC Marathon tomorrow.
Maybe it was all just a 'coincidence' Touche! -

Sandy Vi is a 4 hour marathoner. She soundly defeated the “world’s greatest” ultra runner. -

Yes, no worries, not worth speculating as everyone still got their filling of history nonetheless. I simply wanted to point out that assuming Mimi's team is likely too raw. Could have been a rogue Mimi fan, we'll never know.
