He also refuses to see at the vid start where the car bumped and squealed going over a raised intersection. The intersection acts as a speed bump. So the terrorist driver was definitely driving to fast and then proceeded into the plow into the people.

From what I have read, a white dude killed a white woman with his car. What does racism have to do with any of that?

The Dems are slowly trying to erase history so we can pretend there was never any hate in the world. I think history is important so we don't repeat it. There is hate affiliated with just about everything in America. Lets destroy railroads since immigrants were used to build them and treated unfair. If erasing history was actually the concern, I'd think that the focus would be on education rather than protesting monument removal. If I was worried that particular facts about the Civil War were not adequately understood, I wouldn't worry about the statues. I would push for inclusion of topics in history curricula. I'd write articles for media sources with broad appeal/distribution. I'd work with museums and libraries to try to provide an accounting of both sides of the story.

When someone shows me that the protesters are involved in larger educational efforts, I will believe that they are actually concerned about the erasure of history. Until then, I am going to assume that this is just an excuse.

We're In America, the country of winners. We don't want statues commemorating second place.

Did we let the British put up statues after the Revolutionary War? Did we invite some Germans over to put up a nice statue of Hitler after WWII? So why did the Daughters of the Confederacy put up statues for their losers? And, more importantly, why did local government let them?
