One of the very few occasions were I actually agree with the coach. Kiprop is a Miler - probably mentally even more than physically. I don't think he will be competitive in the 5000m.

He should give the steeple a serious try. He's really tall, and the jump to 3k would be easier than 5k. Similar training for the steeple.

He did a steeple this year and it did not go well.

if Asbel doped to win '08, how come that same dope only got him nowhere in '07 WC ???
musta been some crap dope...
he had his shot in '15 but crap pacers coudn't get him anywhere near the bell as hicham always had, nor coud they run any sort of even-pace
only superficially
I don't think kiprop is doping, but i do think you are an idiot so wanted to point out that 2007 is before 2008.
What this means is, theoretically, kiprop could have lost in the world champs in 2008, then decided to begin doping.
.
âž¡What World Champs were in 2008? That was a leap year = Olympic year.
âž¡ Basically the IAAF secretly thinks he is 'likely' doping.
âž¡I doubt Kiprop can run faster than 13:25.
âž¡Edris couldn't run 4:44 for 2k or 7:20 for 3k, just out of the realms of reality. The spotlight will go on Ethiopia to clean up its doping. 12:50 at the the fastest in good conditions.

No. He wasn't listed as "likely doping" like Mo Farah and Evan Jager. But he had one "suspicious/further data required" reading.
If he's doping it isn't working. He is skinny but weak, undefined and has zero turnover.
moron
my dates were correct
is this a joke ???
he came 4th in '07WC
how come that dope only got him 4th there ???
why woud anyone skip doping for a major ???
he not interested in becoming world champion as soon as possible ???
did he think :
" ~ i don't want to be world champion in '07
i want be world champion in '09"
???
wow !!!
earth-shattering revelation !!!
i doubt no one on this board knew that !!!
then once again, explain why the doping coudn't even get him a medal in '07 ???
anytime
He is running the 800m in Birmingham, my theory is that he would have been the best Kenyan in London, the further he races the worse he does.
it's possible
clearly he doesn't have endurance for 1500 right now, meaning likely less mileage done because of injury this year, but the reduced mileage maya been near ideal for 800 training
if he has some speed left, he coud run a decent 800 but he hasn't followed a fast opening lap in many years which means more like 1'45 instead of 1'43+ which he coud do if he goes out in 50-high

True story. But then Kiprop slipped up, and Farah and Jager did not.
