Hilarious all the sudden 1500m experts. No criticism of Hassan who 'did a Muir' by going WAY too fast, blowing up and coming 5th? If that was Muir's idea by slowing it right down on lap 2 then it was not without success. Everyone was talking about how Hassan was going to win this.
Well, the question I would ask is this " How come Faith has twice "gone too fast" but on each occasion ended up winning".
Sheer talent? Or something else.

I hate to say it but I wonder too. I don't think we should assume all athletes are cheating, but its that thing she does of not tiring when others do and of always peaking for championships. Especially when the catastrophic downfall of Dibaba is added to the mix. I know she's supposed not to be on form this year but Dibaba's deterioration is so spectacular it normally takes many years to go down that far.
Muir and Hassan blew up because they used their speed too hard too soon to get into position.
I guess though that Muir didn't want to lose the race by leading all the way, thus the slow second lap.
Jos Hermens is the manager of Faith Kipyegon and Sifan Hassan.
This entire race was a debacle.
It started within the first 30 seconds when Laura set the pace and let everyone draft off her, which wasted energy. I yelled at Laura "What are you doing!" but it didn't do any good because the race was already over, and I was watching a replay hours later.
So this is all your fault. Instead of yelling "What are you doing!", you should have yelled "What are you doing?!", and she might have better understood that you were questioning her strategy.

Voices can't time travel you moran!
Muir failed to protect her position and was cut off by Simpson with 550 to go. Nothing illegal or intentional, just racing. However, it caused Muir to drop back into the pack and exit out the back. This is what created the gap she felt she had to close on the backstretch instead of remaining within herself until the final 100-150.

Holy crap!! Got robbed of a medal by a man!!
O boy, he's a teenage boy.
A man stole her medal and the money that comes with it. Pure theft because PC society can't say no. Athletics isn't society... it isn't culture... it isn't life. It is supposed to be about fair competition.
Also, SeMANya is dogging it in the 800 so that he doesn't exceed the 5% performance standard that WADA is looking for (they said 10% but that is BS). That is why he wasn't gone after Kratochvilova's world record. If he set it he would kill his golden goose that is funding him.
I think that there needs to be a boycott organized. Let the meet directors run races with the three (now four) African's and see how that sells?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
