Live in the PNW and all the crafts in my town also are in grocery stores for $10-12 for a 6 pack. Where the hell are you living? Or are you buying the very snobby beer that costs over 10 bucks for a 20oz bottle
4 packs of 16 oz cans of craft beers in new england usually cost between $14 and $22, depending on the brewery. Sam Adams (a macro brew) is $9 for 6 back of cans/bottles. Bud and all the variants is closer to 1 per can.
What with everyone who drinks Coors claiming it tastes good? I've likely drank 100x more coors, bud, miller, natty, beast, busch, genesse, schlitz, old e than most of you. I enjoy a coors banquet or two or dozen at a tailgate, but I'm not so delusional to claim that it tastes the same as a GOOD craft beer, emphasis added. Coors is literally made with corn syrup.
I will acknowledge that not all craft beers are created equal. There are some new brew pubs popping up that are packed to the seams while serving some gross contaminated beer.
Does real vermont maple syrup taste the same as Ms. Butterworth's? Does a mcdonalds quarter pounder taste the same as a hand packed ground beef patty? Does a steak from apple bees taste the same as $60 dry aged rib eye? Sorry I'm not poor and don't want to fill my body with garbage.
Also why is quality associated with snobby? The only snobs are the people who refuse to acknowledge the differences between different types of beers. The rest of us have open minds.
When is the claiming "XYZ bubble is going to pop" bubble going to pop? Talk about a misused term. Is the craft beer industry undergoing major expansion, which will eventually result in a contraction? Yes. Is this the same as a bubble? No. Does anyone care? No.
In sum, you do you and quite criticizing other people's preferences and choices. I'm not criticize you you for PREFERRING coors like you criticize people who prefer a beer from Russian river. I love slamming back some swill beers. I will criticize you and question your intelligence for claiming coors tastes the same as something from deschutes or some other microbrewery. That's moronic.
