There is certainly a genetic component too because not all high volume pros with ~3% body fat have legs that look like this.
Priscilla Lopes-Schliep the hurdler had extreme leg vascularity... well beyond this tdf picture and it was related to a genetic condition.
Show me a runner with 3% bodyfat....or are we just pulling numbers out of thin air?
