I thought you going ask if you should take an instagram butt selfie
Life tip: Doctors excluded, a man should never ask another why his butt hurts.

Why do you have a "leg day"? Are you a runner or a bodybuilder?
You shouldn't be lifting with enough volume to really cause much soreness.

I want to build muscle mass but get also more conditioned aerobically. Should I do my tempo run today?

Wrong! you can be sore from very minimal reps if you don't do the movement often.

Nevertheless as Alan implied, runners don't need to have "leg days." Unless you're a bodybuilder or someone who lifts 4 to 5 days a week you don't need a split schedule.

Yes but I am also a cyclist and my weak spot when cycling is tackling hills, building lower body muscle is what will help me with that so I did 6x50 jump squats with weights and am still sore. I cycled 30 min (easy 20-hard 10) them ran 25 min easy and did a few strides today. I am going to do some push ups lat and my tempo tomorrow.

That's insane. Or at least it sounds it to me. Anyone else do something like that? 6x20 sure but not 6x50.

Just noticed your comment about being a cyclist. That probaby explains it - quad dominant.

I really wondering ;) How is it possible to do all this jumping and lifting and on top of that cycling hard and run 25 min easy and a few strides with a sore muscle !!! Just tell me how its possible mr Island,Jamin or whatever you call yourself?
Are you out of your mind!?
You are trying to build strength, I get that, but doing plyos in this volume both dangerous and unnecessary. They are hell for your joints and aren't going to build the kind of specific strength you need as a cyclist.
Squat jumps are useful for sports and activities that are ballistic and explosive. Sprints and jumps, as well as throws in our sports.
I'd stick with high reps and sets- 5x12-20 for example- at moderate weight if you're looking to build some muscle for the purposes of an endurance sport.

I agree! He didn`t do it. 6 x 50 jumps!? Then he shouldn`t be abel to walk for a week! ;)
When i say with weights I mean light weights to keep my posture in line. It really wasn't that hard of a workout.
