Post your email address and I will contact you about a tent I could sell to you. I have a tent that has only been used for a couple of months and I would consider selling it if the price was right.
No such thing.
Josh Spiker was selling one; try and shoot him an e-mail.
I am very interested in buying a tent, e-mail me if you have anything to offer. TWHRUNNER@aol.com
some moron here was going to build one himself.
you guys should do that, its like natural selection in action.
hahahahahaha
I jsut put my hand over my mouth when i run to simulate a higher elevation.
Quite funny.
Pat yerself on yer scrawny back.

Altitude tents are cheating. They aren't against the rules, but they are against the spirit of sport. It's no different than taking EPO.
Maybe we should just boycott anyone who trains in Boulder and other such localities then.
I think it's quite funny how yesterday some chick got ripped out for talking about the cost of triathlon being in the vacinity of $1500 (I by no means agree with that - you can get bikes alot cheaper.) the whole sport of Traithlon was brought into question and now some dude is looking for an altitude tent!
At least in Triathlon a bike is essential. Its not like you won't be able to compete without an altitude tent.
Don't get up on me now I'm just making an observation but it seems like Letsrun posters act like they are saints and live off their bare asses when really they talk about getting shoes that are the best and every supplementary contraption in the book (altitude tents, heart rate monitors etc).
Come on is an Altitude tent necessary?
Do you think Lance Armstrong is a cheater? How about dozens of elite endurance athletes (check out
) This isn't a drug - its a condition to elicit a favorable physiological response (as is running, stretching, lifting weights, massage, an ice bath, etc.)
it's not cheating.
to answer your question - at this stage in my training i think it is necessary. I consider myself at the borderline of being an elite athlete, and a 2-3% drop in my times right now (which is the norm according to studies) would be huge for me. It's the only thing left for me to do that could give me such an improvement.
one more thing - i had the URL wrong. it's www.altitudetraining.com
if you think you need one,
can afford it,
get one.
the elitist attitude of posters here is sickening.
All i here is how, this is just a cheaper option , for altitude training.
Then why are the likes of Armstrong, and Radcliffe, how already can (and do) train at altitude, demanding that they be allowed to continue to use these things.
The reason?
its simple, they are yuppies, they would bitch just as loud if you told them that "underwater treadmills"(still sounds to me like a really dumb joke) were illegal.
These altitude tents are just a dumb gimmick, no world record(in a running event), is going to be set by someone sleeping in an friggin iron lung.
Lol..
heres an idea for you.
in five years you can go to boulder, and buy like 10 of them at random yard sells.
hahaaa
yuppies, god wouldnt our economy suck without them.
please contact me if you know of any availble altitude tents for sale (used), trkstunner@msn.com
i drive a porsche. does that bother you?
