Saturday, then easy on sunday and a fresh start on Monday.
I usually do long runs Sunday and easy Monday, is there anything wrong with this from a training perspective? When totaling my weekly mileage I count from Monday to Sunday and not Sunday to Saturday, even though Sunday to Saturday are the six days in a row that I run
I've always preferred to schedule the long run for Saturday since (a) you get it out of the way and can feel virtuous while slacking off the rest of the weekend, and (b) if Saturday rolls around and there's some extreme weather event, or you have some minor ouchie, stayed up too late on Friday night, or feel you may be getting sick, you can always postpone it until Sunday.
Depends, if you are Jewish or 7th Day Adventist you take Saturday's off. All things consider nothing is written on stone as to what day should be as long as you take one for recovery or cross train, like swimming. Don't do like a guy I knew that on his "rest day" he would practice boxing!
