Two of my favorite sprinters are both out of the men's 100. It was Bromell's first race of the year. While he had achilles surgery, he was limping all over the place after the race.
He was third in his heat in 10.22 - the same time as 2nd - but missed going on by .006.

Good to know one of your favorite athletes is a convicted doper. -
Bromell afterwards said he thought he would run 10.5 here, so to run 10.2 surprised him. He said he has been suffering some pain in training so they backed off, but then discovered that the pain was just residual pain in his achilles and not an injury that could get worse so he wanted to come here and show people what he's made of. He said he may do some Diamond Leagues this year, but plans to be at another level in 2018.
He also said he is really excited for Christian Coleman and he told Coleman at the Olympics to come back this year and destroy everyone at the NCAA level which he did.

Tyson Gay said he had a terrible start.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPzdw_ar5_U
Gatlin advanced but said he picked up an injury this year right when he was trying to get faster so it's hampered him a bit. He said usually he gets injured earlier in the season or later.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJHtklX3JTw
Then in part 2, he talked about wearing the Nike marathon shoes and going on "distance" runs in the fall. Farthest he thinks he's run for a workout is 8x500.

What job were they seeking from you?
-
Trayvon is still recovering from his torn achilles at the Olympics and this was his season opener, the man is working back and I believe he will still be a big name in US sprinting over the next couple of years.
As for Tyson, he is old and past his prime, no surprise that young guns like Coleman and Belcher ran him off the track tonight. -

He sounds like he has read too much Freakonomics. A horrendously inaccurate tale. We see in Basketball, Football and T&F blacks/coloureds who are extremely successful with somewhat unusual first names while all around the world there are blacks/Polynesians/Maori etc with names like John Smith, Ben Jones, David Jackson who are broke as broke. A hypothesis has to withstand micro challenges in order to be confirmed as theory, Freakonomics is just crap.
Hey Rojo you're beginning to sound like a hillbilly, 'dang.' -

I came here to knock Rojo and Wejo for this too, especially since they always insist on saying "doper Justin Gatlin."
But then they mentioned Gatlin in their next post and didn't include "Doper" as a title like they usually do, so I give them a pass. There is no need for them to harp constantly on every athlete that has tested positive. It is totally fair for them to bring it up now and then, though, and fair for you to make a comment like you just did. -

You're right, there isn't any "need for them to harp constantly on every athlete that has tested positive" and I'd forgotten about the "doper Justin Gatlin." stuff which you bought to mine and everyone else's attention, which makes you an idiot and a hypocrite for mentioning it. -
These are the best names. John, Jack, Dave, nah get you a DeVonte.

So a doper is one of your favourite sprinters?

I disagree. These drug cheats have caused a lot of harm to the clean athletes, and mostly got to keep all their wins/records/money from earlier years. On top of that, they normally pretend to be innocent/doped only once/got the drug from the mean neighbor/got the drug from eating beef or whatnot, instead of repenting and revealing the whole history including the support personnel involved. Gangsters' honor, you know.
So, calling a drug cheat a drug cheat or doper is the least we can do to remind ourselves of their proven misdeeds and poor character.
Doper Gay is a typical example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyson_Gay -

You know there isn't a prize for being the 46th person to make this comment in the thread? -

How do you feel about Linford Christie?
TBO?
Dwain Chambers?
Maybe PR?

Ok let's be realistic. I am willing to bet that 95% of of any sport especially track and field athletes dope. It's called deny deny and take it to the grave. For those idiots who say,"Oh but they get tested all the time so they must be clean."Really, because there is no possible way to get around anything. Even the worlds fastest man in the world uses. Even the worlds best yankee baseball player uses. Even the worlds best football player uses. I mean I can go on forever. You guys are ridiculous seriously. It's a business and it's political period. Whomever gets the most fame and is talented gets away with everything. But as usual there will always be a hater who will try to undermine that athlete stage of power. Let's just face it, nobody is clean no matter what event period. Furthermore to say Tyson gay is beyond his prime means nothing. He is still faster in his prime then 97% of the world. The dude ran a 10.12 really.... because I'm sure that's just slow smh. When most of you can't even hit high school times let alone a CC time lol.
-
Please list every athlete in the sport that you personally know that is clean. You are with them day and night. Under your watchful eye you see everything that goes on. Your statement is completely invalid.
-
The anti-doping stance applies mainly to One coach and two of his athletes - none of whom have been sanctioned. Some other caught or confessed dopers are called dopers occasionally. others are given the benefit of the doubt with no questions asked,

This. Just lol at people who think they are defending the integrity of the sport by hating guys like gatlin or gay and then going off and cheering for a bunch of other users instead. -

Your wife is cheating on you. I know it is hard to believe, but think about it: you're not with her at every moment. So she must be cheating on you. Only if you were with her at every moment could you possibly know for a fact that she isnt. -
