If I'm not mistaken, London Culbreath broke Jordan Hasay's Freshman Class National Record with that 10:04 as well
Fantastic race!
Thanks.
Is that the fastest ever in a HS only race? It works out to a faster 3200 than Kim Mortenson's 9:48.59 by about 0.34.
Frosh runs 10;04

How many of these top 10 became Olympians?
I think I hat the number is zero at this point. I guess that Hasay, Oakley and Kelati still have a chance.
Two of them did make WC. So can we say that you have a 20% chance of making Olympics/WC if you make it to the top 10 in HS. That's pretty high odds considering...
Mary Cain, wow what happened to her?

Japanese Running News just tweeted that today in 2 high school regional races in Japan, 7 girls ran 9:14 or faster for the 3000. All superior to her 9:51 two mile. Crazy.
9:51 = 9:10. The top 2 Japanese were 9:00,9:02, very fast, but Rainsberger and Efraimson were faster, and of course, Kain.

Apples to Oranges. 4 Japanese girls in 3 regional races go 9:02 or faster in the 3k in one day. Perspective people.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
