I assume she's no longer a volunteer coach for Harvard.
Lol a volunteer "coach" who trains with the athletes every day. Gee, I wonder if there is any bias here? These kids need to just move on and maybe confront the source like adults. University papers are notorious for trying to get dirt on the athletic department and they've stumbled on some "must-read" material here. The articles will keep coming until people stop reading them.
Remember the administration had an investigation already and had found nothing worth firing him for.

The administration got it wrong, afraid to look too deep is my guess.
Do they really want to admit that it has gotten that bad under their watch?
They are covering it up on all fronts, it is not a healthy program and heading for disaster.

Cute girl with cute job title: "gives academic and emotional support..".
Sigh..rich people problems.
Freddie, it's clear that you possess a breathtaking capacity for ignorance. Lucky for you, I'm here to help.
1. Lauren is a woman, not a "girl",
2. Lauren is pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science while working as a residential advisor (in Harvard parlance, a "proctor").
So, why don't we try this again...
Brilliant person with important work responsibilities: "tries to find solutions to climate change while providing essential support to students who are dealing with major life challenges"
Sigh. Brilliant, caring people problems.*
*Note: I didn't mention her financial status because I don't know it and it's irrelevant.
Freddie, you embarrassed yourself earlier, but I hope that you've learned some important lessons here today.
The most intelligent comment you could muster in your tiny, pathetic brain was a name joke? That's the best you've got? Wow. What a terrible commentary on a genuinely sad existence.

How do you know that the students didn't already "confront the source"? It seems to me that you are addressing this issue with a delightful combination of arrogance and condescension.
Potentially interesting side note: You said there was "nothing worth firing him for", even though Lauren doesn't mention anyone by name. Is there a specific coach that you are defending? If so, who is it?

The one touches girls and takes pictures of them sleeping, oh and tweets them kissy face emojis, just a wild guess

Students did "confront the source." And the ones who did were either harassed off the team or, if they managed to stay, were sanctioned in other ways. The students had NO ONE on their side. Until now. Thank you, Lauren!
The only way to clear this up is if all the athletes speak up. Anybody?
If you can't keep 50% of your athletes healthy in 1 season, then that's a massive failure by the coach. Everything else aside.
Oh, fair Harvard, how i yearn for the spirit of the past as exemplified by Coach Bill McCurdy and guys like James Baker, Keith Colburn, Royce Shaw.
Alas, We should have never allowed Radcliffe into the fold.

How many times has this been gone over? Many of them have. One was punished for doing so, which has made the others afraid of reprisal. Others did so anonymously. One did so publicly. Others quit the team.
And some of them may be happy with the status quo, but that doesn't make it ok...
Seems like they will not be making changes on the women's side. The relevant coaches are still out there recruiting women.
But what is happening on the men's side?? They have several women's asst coaches. I thought they brought in a dedicated men's asst. last year, but he's no longer listed on the xc page. Are they restructuring that part of the program, or intentionally letting it wither a bit after the spreadsheet controversy? Who coaches the men now??
Snitch

Jason Saretsky coaches the men's cross country and men's distance, and Patrick Wales Dinan coaches women's cross country and women's distance, and the men's and woman's mid-distance

Just to clarify: do you have fond memories about the age when women weren't accepted as part of Harvard? Those must have been good times for you. Do you also feel nostalgic about the Jewish quotas? Do you think the College is too racially diverse? I'm just trying to figure out exactly how bigoted you are.
