Does anyone have any insight into how there were so many automatic qualifiers in the 10 k at Stanford this year? Was there some sort of lap count error, or are there really that many good 10 k-ers right now?

I think this is just a really good year for the womens 10k.
whos running? any sexiness in those chicks?
Lap short for 7-8 runners. We are waiting for the last weekend to pass and then turn the cheaters in. Right OKy State.
If that's true, then I take it that all of the 'qualifiers" will be going to Nationals and nothing will be done to correct it, even though their coaches must know the truth? Sad, and very unfair to those hoping to qualify by going the whole distance.
I would encourage everyone to follow this as it is unfair if runners are admitted who ran a lap short. The 10K is 25 laps and not 24.
Quit stiring up rumors. Some of the idiots on this forum don't know you are joking. At least I hope you really don't think the race was run a lap short.
I was there. I watched the whole thing. It was not a lap short.
So let's say that this did happen? What will you do about it, or more importantly, what do you propose that the coaches do about it, just not declare the athlete? You aren't allowed to use videotape to make your case, and even if you were, all protests are supposed to be filed before the meet ends, at least, so the window has closed. Now what? You got no case here, even if it did happen.
