So a few weeks a go my shins started to hurt, after starting again after a week off after the winter season. My coach had us doing alot of new drills ( skip drills, jump, ect) Maybe that could be part of it. THe pain never really hurt when i ran, it would usually go away as i got warmed up. I got an MRI taken a 10 days ago. While we were waiting for the results the pain has subsided somewhat. When i press on the shin it hurts, but not nearly as much. My physical therpaist said the area is much better than it has been in the past. Yesterday morning the docotor called and said i have multiple stress fractures in both legs. I have a few problems with this
a) it doesnt hurt, usually a stress fracture would hu rt to even walk on, this doesnt even hurt when i run
b)the little pain that there was has subsided (while still training)
c) he told me to take 3 weeks off (thats not nearly enough time for a real stress fracutrE)
d) also an mri doesnt look at the bone it looks at the muscles. SO i dono.
Tell me what you think
