Here's a list of some very obvious London Marathon cheaters and some suspicious looking ones too.
These first 2 got past half way then decided to join the masses going back the other way, nice big negative splits. They clearly ran together. 100% cheated.

These 3 missed splits and had some cracking runs! 100% cheated

These missed splits but the overall time stacks up however there are some well paced runs in some of them which I wouldn't expect considering 95%+ of the field will positive split. I suspect a couple of these cheated but further photographic evidence will be useful.

Then there are a few who missed mats. Just putting name/number as can't be bothered copying in splits etc. As I said, the overall time generally stacks up and most look legit, maybe the first one is suspect given the consistent splits but maybe she ran a really good race (but I have my doubts).

With those times, who cares?
They fooled themselves. -
The most curious aspect is why London doesn't run a program that spits out any runs with missed mats an/or unfeasible negative splits into an "under review" section.
You can guarantee every year that a steady number will either turn left coming off Tower Bridge or cut across after the half mat. -
Ah but think of the fun we could have if we have another Dave Reading in this lot. There'll be charity pages out there, social media claiming how great they are, they should be named (done), shamed and DQd.

Derek, Derek Murphy does. He won't stop until they are named, shamed, banned from running any race anywhere , jobless, penniless and their families abandon them on an ice flow.
Then and only then will Derek say that they got justice. -

Maybe smokin weed helps his times ...
http://www.marathonfoto.com/Proofs?PIN=V6F558&LastName=MARJORAM
This year he improved on his 2016 time by 25 minutes, cruising around in 3:46, even managing to walk for a bit in one photo whilst wearing a fleece on what was warm sunshine I can tell you from personal experience.
Seems unlikely .... -
OMG, so many British cheats to out but so little time.

WANG, XIAODONG
Best name ever. Dong Wang is cheetah.....lol -
There is a photo of our Alfie at Cutty Sark (just after 10km) and you can see his chip on his left foot. In his finish photo he doesn't have a chip on any more which may explain the missing splits. Equally, he could have ditched it to avoid electronic evidence against him and skipped the course. There are currently no other photos of him until Westminster (41km), you'd think there'd be one or 2 others somewhere on the course?? He does like carrying people I see, bravo old chap.
Now, the article says he walked the last 4 miles with that guy. He has a 15km split of 1:38, already majorly slowing posting 29 33 36 5km splits. Let's say he maintained 35 minute 5km pace. That would put him at about 4 hours 5 mins at 35km which is roughly 4 miles from the end. 4 miles walking with an injured person is not going to be any quicker than 20 minute per mile pace, so another 1 hour 20 at least, putting him circa 5hr 25. This assumes he didn't slow any more than his 36 min pace... likely, me think not. Hero to zero, me think so. -

Ooh nice one. His Results Display link is alot of fun:
http://www.runpix3.com/arace11/50/fo.php?id=35546&dt=42&hm=lon17&ev=lon17
A little Google gives this:
https://www.geldards.com/geldards-lawyer-dons-trainers-for-firms-charity.aspx
Which links to this:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Bens-running-London
And there's no other Ben or Benjamin Lawson. The fundraising page talks about Ben and Caroline both running, but there no Caroline (or Carol) Lawson. What's the back story?! -
So if someone were to dump their chip how is the final time given? Alfie and his family are bragging all over social media about his heorics.... it just doesn't sit right with me at all.
-
How long before that guy with a cheating blog claims he found all these?

They would have to look at the finish line video of the runner and the clock.
Weedman looks pretty guilty to me. How do we out him? -

They do use a program to review the results so this lot will be disqualified. Or did you mean in real time such that the results appear automatically with that flag? -
I guess those first two just got tired after slogging around all day and decided to go get their medals and go home. 5+ hours in any case; why bother?
The next two are humorous. I guess they gained power of flight or something. Again, not great times but at least in the 3h range.
I wonder what percentage of these cheats are pre-meditated vs someone is running along and there's the train... Might as well save some energy. -

The Brits need to build a London Marathon wall from 10K to 40K on the course to keep all the Brit-London Marathon-Cheater-Liar-Charity-Fraud-Fakes from cheating.
The wall should have barbed wire and marathon security cameras to catch all the London Marathon cheaters. The cheaters will then be taken to the Tower of London to be tortured until they CONFESS.
In the past, real Brit runners ran marathons just for the challenge of really finishing a marathon or running a marathon PR. No one cheated or lied.
Now we have lots of people who are not real runners who want to "show everyone I did a marathon which makes me great" on social media. The photos of their finisher medal, their personal stories on facebook about how tough they were, etc., become the most important goal (even if cheating and lying is required)... instead of just really running a marathon as a personal challenge.
It is pathetic.
Please stop it.
