Have not heard much from him. Trackhead or anyone else know how he is doing? I wish him the best!

Berryhill will not improve under Irv. you heard it here first.

You are a deadbeat, a lowlife, and a loser who deserves to suffer for your slander of good people.
Hopefully, you did NOT hear it here first.
I don't think he will improve under Perv Ray. This has noting to do with Berryhill or his potential although his decision-making is sub-par, ie. his decision to have Irv as his coach. I wish him all luck and will personally foot the bill if he decides to leave that god-for-saken town before the season ends.
Ft. Collins is that bad?
No Ft. Collins is not that bad. I was under the impression that he was living in Riverside Ca. Either way he still has a coach who is up to his eyebrows in himself. What has Irv done lately? Anything except take UCR down the road they were already on, unfortunately Berryhill jumped in the wrong van. I just hope Berryhill gets out while he can, good runner, great potential.
from what I hear, the kids that are sticking with Irv's training are running well. He has the same problems that every serious collegiate coach has: inelligibilities, kids who find other things to do, who don't want to work, etc.
what are the differences between what irv puts out and what renato canova writes on this board?
Well, at least he is still running. He is just going through a really bad stretch. At 27 Berryhill cannot be considered over the hill yet. Ever since he ran that 4:03 in Boston last year he has not been the same. Fives months before that Boston race he ran a 3:36+ in Europe. Berryhill needs a solid break out race. Perhaps a sub-4 minute mile would be a good start. I don't think he broke 4 in 2004.
Lassiter has been in a slump for over 2 years now.
Berryhills PBs
PR: 1500- 3:35.56 (2001), Mile - 3:55.01 (2001)
They are not Lagat or Webb times, but they are solid.
In future all US 1500 meters runners are going to have to contend with either Lagat or Webb. Running 3:40 just won't be good enough anymore. Lets hope Berryhills runs A standard times again.
In international terms he is slow.
Maybe he moves up if he plans to continue racing.
It is true if a runners cannot post at least a 3:36 for the 1500 he is not going to make much of an impact on the international scene. However, on a good day such a runner may find his way into an Olympic or World Championship final. Pyrah was this sort of runner and he made the Olympic finals in 2000.
It will be intersting to see how Berryhill does this year.
You are wrong. Those sticking to Irv Ray's training are very frustrated and are regretting their decision to go there.
The Fort rocks, stop the hate you Boulder hippies.
