Ben Rogers has just recorded a genuine 31.7 mile run. He now has to follow that up with 26.2 per day for the next week. It will be interesting to see how much of that is manual entry fake miles.

Yes, i saw that. But it appears only the official marathons and ultras that he does are real. I'm not seeing much evidence for the YEAR of unofficial ones he claims he does every day, and the year comes to a close next year
How many sausages per mile did he average? British or American style?
All these shysters need to be called out every time they start these things by being told to wear an inexpensive watch on their wrist that records cadence, etc and is downloadable to Strava.
If every single one of them is called out and pressured to do that then it will become the norm to do so and if you don't you'll automatically be considered a cheat and scammer by every one, including the gullible public who seem to believe all these bullshitters now.
Sausage per mile pace was not recorded. This is one of the many ways we know he is a fraud. All proper runners share their sausage consumption statistics.

FMD, even Dave Reading would be in awe of this bloke, and Dave's a super ultra running hero.

It's an absolute disgrace that people even think they can get away with this. Ben Rogers should have realised he would need concrete evidence of his claims after the Robert Young fiasco. He looks like a total bullshitter to me.
There's no need for transparency. We can take people on their word. If they're British, their word is gold, as they are the most honourable citizens in the world.
We just need to keep EPO cheats out.

I agree. If you are going to ask the public to donate money for a challenge you are doing, then you should show clear evidence that you ARE doing it.
But when i showed him this thread and asked if he had any watch data to back up this "marathon a day for a year claim", he just said -
"365MarathonMan
"Jeez, they are pretty vicious knowing nothing about me...
Just going to concentrate on the running rather than get involved with all that.... But thanks for bringing it to my attention"
With his lack of a running background he'd have been injured.
Another fantasist.
He needs to run legit marathons and join the 100 club but would fail to do it even at rate if one a week.

Looks rather chubby for a guy coming to the end of an entire year of marathons every day

I initially thought he'd been logging genuine miles plus faking a load of miles by entering them manually, however there seem to be anomalies in his runs with GPS data available.
"Marathon" # 45, done on June 7 2016 has a pace of 4:23 for mile 26.

Have you asked him to explain any of this? I have
He's British with a "charity", what needs explaining?
Tinfoil Hat wrote:

It's nothing to do with being British. Loads of Americans have been caught cheating. I am British and dont care which country someone comes from, i just think its wrong people like his are misleading people by pretending to do a challenge they aren't actually doing.
We need to see what freebies he got for this. The charity money does seems to be going to the charity so i dont see any evidence so far that he got any money from this. So we need to dig a bit deeper to be sure he only did this scam for attention, not free kit and money
Does any have any actual evidence of cheating?
His manual miles seem to be done on a treadmill looking at his facebook. The odd crazy fast mile on strava can be simple gps glitches. Him looking not looking emaciated could simply mean he replaces the calories he burns.
Bit early to try bring someone down based on anecdotal evidence.

He's been asked a few times to explain the odd data, and he has nothing to say. If *I* was busting a gut running a marathon a day and people suggested i wasnt and asked why the data was suspicious, i'd want to prove myself.
He mentions nothing about treadmills.
That you Ben? You have been asked to come on here and say something.
There isnt just "the odd crazy mile". Its an entire YEAR of false claims.
